The Extended Voice / Den utvidede stemmen (EN/ NO)
English description:
The term “extended voice” encompasses the use of electronics and software, unorthodox vocal techniques, and non-traditional spaces, all of which extend the role, sound and extent of the voice. In this episode Solveig speaks with a group of VoxLAB affiliates about ways of extending the voice and we also listen to some of the music they have created and / or been involved with.
Guests: Kristin Norderval, Ruth Wilhelmine Meyer, Bjarne Kvinnsland and Visobel Black + Martyna Kosecka.
This broadcast is the first in a series involving composers-performers affiliated with VoxLAB. The second part, about “Extended Place” and “Extended Story” will follow in a fortnight after which another six episodes will be dedicated to new vocalities.
