“I decided early on to start composing with no boundaries, improvising freely with my effects on a set of themes related to my experiences during a ten day stay on an island off the coast of North Norway. I gradually started layering vocals and elaborating on parts that felt particularly fundamental – moving away from H2O and slipping into the world of dreams. “

“I work from an intuitive reaction to my surroundings – usually an image or a shape appears in my inner mind which I then try to reproduce vocally. On working with “Water and Dreams” I was especially drawn to the fracturing and ever-morphing patterns of the ocean and its display of contrasting characters – graceful and clumsy, non-repetitive and constant, romantic and terrifying.”
